Justin Buzzard had some great points and wise rules of thumb. I like the idea of being in smaller, more focused, online communities. However, I guess Facebook is here to stay, and I should join up.
I set up a Google Analytics account for the Plunder Pile to track it for a while and get a feel for whether or not it's serving any purpose. Between March 30 and April 9, Plunder Pile had 144 visits from 61 different IP addresses. That was much less than the blog that my extended family has (with 337 visits from 57 IP addresses), but still more than I expected for CCA over Easter Break. I'll post updates every couple months if it seems that Plunder Pile is getting used. I'm not sure what the stats really mean, however. If anyone has more expertise, I'd be happy for feed back (or to send them the Google Analytics account info).
Delight, encourage, inform, or challenge other adults in the CCA community. Provide teachers with resources or inspiration. Publicize local events. Spark conversations. Make us all grin.
